About Overton Farm
Established in 1819, Overton Farm has a rich history that spans generations. Once home to the Overton family for over a century, the land was later transformed by the Tennessee Valley Authority into an educational center. Though the center closed in the early 2000s, the site was revitalized in 2022 as a scenic event venue, preserving its historical charm. Today, Overton Farm continues to celebrate Alabama’s heritage, offering a space for gatherings and educational experiences.
